New York Apartment Suspended Between Past and Present
Stefan Boublil designed this apartment to the 61st floor of a tower overlooking Central Park New York: In his view, the interior is an ode to the ’80s, the building construction period. Designed to accommodate four people, the ‘apartment actually has a picture of himself as if suspended between a traditional past, made of solid wood (such as the library or double bed) and secrets hidden in furniture, and present a decidedly contemporary, Built with high technology and invisible lines and extravagant furnishings, floor to ceiling windows in every room frame a postcard from the metropolitan landscape. In fact, this dualism is modeled on the thought for the intended use: living and sleeping areas are designed for adult tastes and voted to classical, while the rooms for children is projected towards the future this may already have declined.
