Porsche Museum in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen
The new Porsche museum is a place that expresses itself through its architecture the high standards that have guided the company philosophy for almost a century of its existence. “The new Porsche museum represents our conception of what architecture, which is an architecture in movement that in its wake interacts with the environment” describes Delugan Roman, co-founder of the firm Delugan Meissl Associated Architects. “The environment in which stands the building was not an obstacle, rather this was used as a starting point the concept of the building, the environment is basically made up of old railroads, industrial plants and a dense network of streets.” Elke Express Meissl Delugan co-founder of the firm Delugan Meissl Associated Architects. Delugan Roman, said that “architecture should not be seen as another building, but should make any impression in the mind and body of people. This museum should make the world of Porsche in a tangible reality for all. ”
The museum is a tour of the history of Porsche through the 80 models from all eras on display in the main gallery which covers approximately 5,600 square meters of total building. Besides the large collection of Porsche cars, the museum also features a sample of the accessories that you can include Porsche cars. Of particular interest also are the drawings and plans used by designers of the vehicles in the creative process and is also on display at the Porsche Museum. The building also house a shop, restaurant for visitors, a café and a unique room with a large terrace, equipped with over 300 parking spaces available beneath the structure.
