Proposal Gbeho-00A, Nicaragua, Central America
Gbeho-00A The Green Box enviroment Housing is an architectural proposal for a Multi-type building in a municipality of the city of Managua, Nicaragua. This building was designed by José Ángel Sáenz Taleno as my final course of his studies of Architecture at the Universidad Centroamericana (UCA), in the same city.
This project comes with a clear purpose, which is the densification of the masses and provide a solution to the proliferation and expansion of territories covered by the developers in that country. This building in part to contribute to a social problem as it is called cancer territories (developers) provides a simple and ecological problems plaguing the world climate.
This proposal is a profound contradiction rooted in the Nicaraguan architectural tradition and a deep concern not to make this building a clear example of artifact resulting from the sum of different ecological systems.
The green walls, green roofs, use of Bio-boxes, Solar Panels, Bio-digesters, etc., Are part of the solution presented in this building for self-sustainability and reduce energy consumption in the course of life that may have this. These green walls are alternative futuristic interior and exterior landscaping for many of the architectural projects currently being undertaken, are above all a fundamental part in integrating the building with the surrounding nature and in this case to be located in an area highly urbanized, brings a touch of freshness and natural life that users of the building no doubt appreciate, also provide extra help in the cooling and humidifying the air in the building.
Throughout the design process of such systems have been used as basic compositional elements in the formalization of the proposal. As key elements of composition has been used the effects caused by interlacing Arabic (external structure that holds the skin of economic growth or mesh that surrounds the building.) This element composition serves not only to see without being seen, but also as a fundamental engine for the dissemination of solar radiation.
Will that effect the skin to produce multilayer flexible façade posed as cover that fits the main body of the building. The succession of different layers, as in Muslim architecture at a time to give depth to the facade and lights casting shadows on other layers also helps to have a transitional element between the inside and vented outside.
