After the extraordinary creation of the Bird’s Nest Stadium in Beijing, the two Swiss architects Jacques Herzog and Pierre de Meuron have come back designing a skyscraper of 57 floors, completely technological and shape similar to the Rubik’s Cube.
In October work will begin building that will be completed in 2010, the cost of 462 million euros. The skyscraper will reside in the district of Tribecain downtown Manhattan and will consist of 145 apartments, all different and very high price. To buy an apartment in Fifty-six Leonard Street (Leonard Street 56), must be real millionaires: the smaller apartments will have a cost that has an estimated 3.5 million dollars while in the larger the price rises to $ 33 million.
The structure will be enhanced by, a huge stainless steel sculpture, created by artist Anish Kapoor, a large living room with black granite, from a height of seven feet and two floors dedicated to the game including a library, swimming pool, fitness center and a room for watching movies.
