Two Loft in a Mountain House
This house, designed by architects Cadaval & Solà-Morales, is not your average house in the mountains: the position and shape to the typical slope will reveal the nature, but some materials and the interiors seem to take inspiration from other contexts. The abundant use of glass-ceiling windows, a contemporary spirit shows already quite far from the tradition of mountain homes, but the panoramic view is guaranteed. While the interiors are reminiscent more of a loft city, rather than a quiet house perched on a rocky hill: on the contrary, the loft are two separate but united to host a father and son who need their privacy. The furnishings are few and simple and the area of each of the apartments is conceived as a unique very large and airy, also very modern style of furniture leaves no room for the warm tradition of the mountain.
