Zaha Hadid Architects and the new project for the University of Economics and Business in Vienna

Zaha Hadid Architects have been selected as the arhitetti of Library and Learning Centre at the ‘University of Economics and Business in Vienna. The two new centers will be the center of the University’s new campus in order to provide better services.
Besides the library, LLC will also provide a language lab, rooms, administrative offices, bookstore, cafeteria, student center and clubrooms.
The new library and center rise as a polygonal block, making the whole project to take a cube with the edges slightly tilted. The structure is made up of lines that move from outside to inside, and then becomes curvilinear and fluid and in generating a kind of canyon, which acts as a public square, while all other structures of the LLC are housed within a single volume.
A very important project, a pity that the news we hear about only from foreign newspapers these projects and see them only an outside Italy … Italy, where universities are still being decadent or free space.
